A 26 year old woman from Monroe Michigan, lost her legs and hands from bacterial meningitis. She also had to have a kidney transplant. After all she has been though, she is still instilled with a fabulous outlook on life. Her name is Charity Riddle-Doorman. Her wish is to replace her hooks with prosthetic hands. This costs a lot of money, but the community is getting involved. So is the Monroe Odd Fellow Lodge #19.

The Country Western dance held on May 2, 2003 was very successful. Monroe Lodge gave almost $200.00 to Charity for the 50/50 drawing, plus a check for $2000.00. It was a wonderful expierence to meet Charity and her family. They are fantastic people. It was a lot of work, but we are glad we did it!
