The Monroe Odd Fellows hosted the annual Odd Fellows and Bingo worker Christmas party in Monroe Michigan on December 18, 2005. Tammie's catering was hired, and provided her usual excellent meal. The food was excellent, and the desserts were awesome. There was a raffle table with excellent prizes, many of them with the Odd Fellows logo. This year, Noble Grand Luke decided that the Bingo workers would contribute to our annual giving to the needy. Each week the Bingo workers gave whatever they wanted to give for the fund. When the time came for shopping, there was about $1,200.00 in the fund! Very nice. We picked the children of three families to buy for. Thanks to Christine for getting a nice employee discount! We also had a blind auction to raise money for the Family Services organization in Monroe. The people who attended the party bought the gifts and put them in brown bags. Then they were auctioned off to the people at the party! When the end came, just shy of $500.00 had been raised. The Odd Fellows rounded it up, and matched it, so the check will be made out for $1000.00. Needless to say, everyone enjoyed the day, and felt good about it too. Things that make you say, "Yeah!"
